My second collection of poetry, Waking Occupations, was published in March 2022. It contains four sections, “Partings,” a series of aubades from the split self of a diasporic subject, “Still Lives,” a series of ekphrastic poems that explores my mother as a creative role model, “Brief Encounters,” which engage with objects and works of sculpture, art and film to view the colonial encounter, and “Without Elegies,” which meditates and mourn what the next generation has already lost and what ceremonies might heal us.
The collection is available for purchase via Penguin Random House Canada and your local independent bookstore.
